The comparator compares the wiper voltage VW with the external input voltage VNI. The comparator and its logic level output are controlled by the Shutdown, Latch, and Enable bits of the analog control register (ACR). Enable connects the comparator output to the VOUT pin, Latch memorizes the output logic state, and Shutdown removes the analog section supply voltages to save power. The analog control register is pro- grammed using the two wire serial interface.

  The LX8818 features on-chip trimming of the internal voltage enabling precise output voltages, typically 1% of its specified value, while the BiPolar output transistor has a low dropout voltage even at full output current (VDO < 1.2V typ. @ 1A). Output voltage overshoot is minimized when VIN is applied, typically VOUT overshoot < 2% for VIN 1V/uS ramp.   Thermal and Short Circuit Current Protection are integrated on-chip.   Microsemis D-PAK or Micro power package enables maximum power dissipation and ease of assembly using surface mount technology.
StarMOS is a new generation of high voltage NCChannel enhancement mode power MOSFETs. This new technology minimises the JFET effect, increases packing density and reduces the on-resistance. StarMOS also achieves faster switching speeds through optimised gate layout.
When driving capacitive loads >20pF a 50Ω resistor should be connected between VOUT and VZ+, using VZ+ as the output (see Figure 1). This will prevent the multiplier from going unstable and reduce gain peaking at high frequencies. The 50Ω resistor will dampen the resonance formed with the capacitive load and the inductance of the output at pin 8. Gain accuracy will be maintained because the resistor is inside the feedback loop.
The 4903000061 is a highly integrated MMIC downconverter for the 1.8-2 GHz PCS band. The downconverter provides exceptional RF performance while consuming low DC current and is packaged in a low cost plastic package. It is ideal for light weight battery operated portable radio systems.
Because the LX8586/86A regulators are three-terminal devices, it is not possible to provide true remote load sensing. Load regulation will be limited by the resistance of the wire connecting the regulator to the load. The data sheet specification for load regulation is measured at the bottom of the package. Negative side sensing is a true Kelvin connection, with the bottom of the output divider returned to the negative side of the load. Although it may not be immediately obvious, best load regulation is obtained when the top of the resistor divider, (R1), is connected directly to the case of the regulator, not to the load. This is illustrated in Figure 3. If R1 were connected to the load, the effective resistance between the regulator and the load would be:
